For children, the most important part of they childhood is undoubtedly getting the chance to play with their toys. Kids toys are a major part of the world's economy and are extremely popular in modern culture and in the media. Such toys include LEGOS, building blocks, Barbies, Bratz dolls and board games. Toys such as blocks and LEGOS provide a great way for your child to pass the time and have fun at the same time. Dolls such as Barbie and Bratz offer young girls a great way to have fun and socialize with other young girls. If kids didn't have toys to play with, being a kid would be a lot more boring.
Kids toys are also a major part of the world's economy. The popular toy store "Toys R Us", reported revenue of 13 billion in 2007. Obviously, kids toys are great for business too. Toys R Us offers just about every kind of toy your child would wish for. They have been in business for over 60 years and remain one of the biggest names in the toy market. Toys don't have to be the traditional ones that you might think of either. Some of the funnest games that kids like to play are electronic. Not only are these games more compact and easier to put away, they often tie in some sort of educational opportunity for your child. For example, if the game involves something to do with numbers and shapes, it will aide your child in counting and shape recognition.
Kids toys don't always have to be actual "toys" as one might think in the traditional sense. They can also be things like teddy bears, blankets and dolls that hold sentimental value to your child. A toy like a bear doesn't hold much use or educational value if you're an adult, but for a child, this bear can be a comfort when they are sad, or in a time of need. A blanket that your child was given at birth may serve the same purpose as the teddy bear, in addition to keeping them warm at night.
Some other forms of toys include ones that are used primarily outside. These include trampolines and blow-up playhouses. Some parents might object to trampolines because they think they are dangerous. This could be true if you're an irresponsible parent and don't take the necessary precautions which include supervising your children and putting up netting around the edge so they can't fall off. Blowup playhouses are great for children who love the outdoors but have trouble thinking of things to do. They can be deflated and stored in a tight space for convenience.
If you are the parent of an older child, some good kids toys that you could get them are iPods and similar MP3 players. Music offers a great way for your teen to spend some time and get away from it all for a little while. Be sure you monitor what music they are listening to as some of it can be pretty nasty.

Lego City 7687 Advent Calendar I bought last years advent calendar for my two sons, then aged 3 and 5. They were so excited to open the doors each day that they didn't realise they were counting down the days until Christmas! I hope this years is as good.
Excellent product Have not used it yet, but it looks like it would last (with careful opening) for more than one year. Can't wait for December!!

Princess Peppa to the Rescue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A fabby set of Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Grandpa Pig and Granny Pig, Peppa Pig and George Pig - all in their 'Royal Family' disguise!
Its the latest variation on the Peppa toys, and co-incudes with the new DVD Peppa Pig - Princess Peppa [DVD] [2009]
We bought this set for our 3 year old, after looking at the castle Princess Peppa Pig Peppa's Palacewhich we thought a little pricey (we didn't buy it). We already have the house and car from last year so only wanted to add our daughter's collection.
Its brilliant value (bear in mind the Palace only comes with 2 figures) and its lovely to see the imaginative play and adventures she takes her 'Royal Family' on.
Highly recommended for any Peppa and George fan!

cozy coupe cozy coupe was not the easiest toy to put together, some of the parts could have put togther at a earlier/later stage this lead to it taking longer to put togther as it made it more ackward than it needed to be, But the end product was worth it, (after a few choice words were said (kids were in bed i have to say) LOL) The kids love it (15mths and 3yrs).

Allow some time for assembly... A classic toy - but frustrating to assemble, requiring careful use of brute force... if you are buying this as a present for a toddler make sure you unbox and assemble it the night before!
Fun for kids, but a nightmare to assemble! I bought this ride in car for my son's second birthday as I'd always find him playing with them at nursery and he's a huge fan of anything with wheels. It's definately worth bearing in mind that this toy is fairly difficult to assemble, so attempt this before handing it over to your child as you'll probably find (as I did) that they'll slow the procedure down no end by sitting in it! The plastic's really hard and unyielding, which makes it difficult to fit the various compenents together and my box didn't contain the left hand roof support which had to be re-ordered directly from the manufacturers. Even when the parts were complete, I keep finding that the roof wants to detach from the supports, which is a pain when you're trying to push your child around the garden in this vehicle.
On the positive side my son absolutely loves his cozy coupe and especially adores sitting with his elbows out of the window like any self-respecting motorist would(!) It provides a good cardio vascular workout for any parent or carer who decides to push their little one around in it, which is useful. It's quite a large item so it maybe worth thinking about where you'll store it in the winter when it's not in daily use.

peppas palace
bought this for my daughter who loves peppa! it is nice although i think a bit basic, i dont think it is worth the money (i paid 30). you dont get enough accessories with this palace and it only comes with 2 figures so u have to buy the rest of the family seperately whereas with the peppa house you get all the characters. what is good about it is its simple for little ones to use and the palace folds together and can store all the furniture inside. peppa fans will love it like my little ones do and i think if it was a little cheaper parents like me would love it as much too!

VTech Kidizoom Multimedia Digital Camera (Pink)

Realistic Honest Review
I got this camera for my niece for xmas and to be on the safe side I thought that I would try it out before wrapping it. I used the camera for an afternoon and i think that it is absolutely brilliant especially for kids who couldnt care what 8 megapixels and optical zoom is. Granted the pictures are not up to the same standard as a proper digital camera but when you display the pictures on a tv using the av cables supplied they look really good and its got a lot of quirky little features. This is a great camera for KIDS , dont expect David Bailey quality from it as thats not what its made for - its made for FUN and I for one think that its exactly that and would give it six stars if i could ! BRILLIANT !!!
FUN TIMES!!
Got this camera for my niece on her birthday, she loved it and takes pictures at any given oppurtunity, she took it on a family holiday and ended up taking the best pictures out of the lot of us.
Real good value for money and with some nifty games and the cool pink colour she loved it.
think i may get one for myself :P
superb TOY
I get so frustrated with some reveiws on this site. This is not an adults camera, it is not supposed to be. it doesnt bother with 67 million mega mega pixels, or 23 super fantastic zoom. it is a TOY. Bought it for my 3 year old daughter for xmas and she is yet to put it down. its big, durable, good size screen, fun games, very easy to use, and you can play it on t.v. quality of pic is only ok but that is fine it is a TOY. the camera can take up to 200 pics on its own memory, battery life is good (same batteries in ours since xmas), good flash, great fun. If you want a camera for a young child so they can learn how to use, and have fun doing it, then this is the one. Remember it is a TOY!!!

Very stylish - just watch the size. Very stylish Batman outfit with great cowl/cape and those funky 'overshoes' material boots. Not much else to say except watch the size. 50" is a pretty tall 5 year old.
Holy Mackerel! Wham! Splat! Bam! Kerpow! That's the sound of Grandad being beaten up by his grandson! Fabulous outfit - but who is wearing it?

Manufacturer's Description
An adventure in colour, light and sound! Indulge your child’s appetite for exploration by merging blocks together to form new colours and sounds, or stack the blocks, within the holder in a different order each time to form new and exciting shapes.
Customer Reviews
My niece loves them!
I bought these blocks for my niece's first birthday and apparently she loves them! Unfortunately, we live on either side of the the Atlantic (her in Belfast, and me in Vancouver, Canada) so I only get to see pictures and hear stories from my sister.
But apparently she loves to play with them and likes it when my sister holds them up so she can see the different colours shine through them.
I'm glad she enjoys them!
Excellent
I highly recommend this toy - it is played with by my 9 month old every single day. She finds news thing to explore (Light, colour, sound) all the time.
Great gift!
I bought this for a friend for her child's first birthday. He loves it. Think I will be buying one for my baby!
