Active Vision II
Active Vision II is our acclaimed high performance picture processing system. It has been designed to produce high quality, high definition images by enhancing core elements of a television picture:

MAIN TV
i bought this tv as my older lcd is about 5 years old,
i was perticulary interested in this model as this had the very latest
freeviewHD proseser built in, it can be pricy as a seprate set top box.
HD tv is shown when you directly plug in to a standard ariel socket
with digital tv.
pictures supurb especialy with the ps3 console,movies are amazing.
Great tv all-round - 4.5 stars from me
I bought this a few weeks ago, its very nice. The picture is good, only 50HZ but i didn't particularly notice motion blur during the world cup final which was a nice suprise. The volume doesn't go very high and the speakers are only OK. Apart from that the tv is great, nice remote, good EPG, BBCHD, ITVHD, CHANNEL4HD and BBC1HD will be coming by christmas 2010. It takes a few secs for HD channels to appear but apart from that, the sound quality and volume level problems its great.
I've tried bluray on it, freeview hd and it works nicely. Uses quite alot less power compared to most brands which is nice. Managed to get Comet to give it to me for £500 inc a really nice tv stand as seen in the customer review photos that i submitted. It was £500 on amazon at the time, now just £480.
Seperate speakers would eliminate the OK'ish sound and remove the relatively low volume problem. Will save up for some decent 5.1 speakers.
Firmware is upgradable via Ethernet cable or via the tv aerial, searching for updates via the tv aerial takes quite a while. You need to disable 1 of the ethernet options i found in order for it to be able to connect to the server. There was no update available when i tried btw.
I heard this plays .vob files off usb pens too, haven't tried it myself.
The stand swivels about 30 degrees btw, which is handy if you have chairs at different sides of the room, you can aim it towards you if no-one is at that side of the room.
Would have been nice to have red/yellow/white connectors on the back aswell as the side as my mum doesn't like the Wii cables plugged in all the time, there's none on the back so i plug them in the side as and when needed.
Regarding the person who said there's no difference between SD and Freeview HD, he needs some glasses, the difference is massive, even 12 feet away with fairly poor eyesight.
